ITANAGAR, Mar 18: District AYUSH Mission Society, Itanagar Capital Complex, Naharlagun organised a public health outreach activity for awareness on importance of AYUSH healthcare system in solving community problems resulting from nutritional deficiencies, epidemic and vector borne diseases, maternal and child health care etc. today at Health and Wellness Centre, Ganga.
Director Health Services Dr. M Lego, who attended as the chief guest also inaugurated the Peripheral OPD where AYUSH system of medicine is available for public healthcare services.
Dr. Mandip Perme, District Medical Officer, Itanagar Capital Complex, Dr. Yapi Yomcha MO I/C, PHC Chimpu and other officials were also present at the programme.
Awareness was given to panchayat leaders, teachers, ASHA/ANM, anganwadi workers regarding health & hygiene, nutrition, child and maternal health and epidemic and vector borne diseases and promotion of health through AYUSH.
