ITANAGAR, Nov 13: Protest by hundreds of APPSCCE aspirants entered the fourth day today. However, the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission continued with the Mains exam as per schedule even today at the Commission’s campus centre.
Since morning hundreds of protesters, blocked the road holding placards and chanting slogans demanding postponement of the ongoing Mains examination.
On Monday, a delegation of aspirants met Chief Minister Pema Khandu, however the CM asked the protesting candidates to wait for the November 14 Court hearing.
‘We are not satisfied with the assurance or advice given by the Chief Minister so we are resuming our protest,’ said a candidate.
Meanwhile, Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee, President Takam Sanjoy met the agitating aspirants at Tennis Court and assured to extend all possible help. “All the aspirants are mature enough to make a wise decision and so you should continue your protest without any violence and you should also not forbid those who are willing to take the examination as it is their choice.”
Sanjoy also urged the candidates to constitute a committee and meet all elected representatives to place their grievances. “APPSC has already done so many mistakes since the beginning of this examination, so we cannot blindly trust the Commission at this juncture,” said the APCC Chief.
“We don’t want this issue to be politicised,” he said however assuring to help out in their own way.
Protesting candidates have submitted their memorandum to the Chief Minister’s Office and Raj Bhavan seeking their intervention on the issue.
All eyes are now on the November 14 Court hearing which will bring clarity on the matter.
