TAWANG, Mar 14: Defence research laboratory(R&D)centre Tawang conducted progressive farmers workshop cum training on production of high value crops and mushroom in high altitude region,in its complex at Changbu village today.Around 50 progressive farmers from different villages participated in the said workshop cum training. Dr.BJ Gogoi, In-charge DRL Tawang in his inaugural speech briefed the participants about DRL and its functions in Tawang sector. KB Kayastha,Entomologist Department of Agriculture, Tawang in his speech as chief guest spoke on insect and pest management on different crops grown in Tawang area. Ashok Naglot,scientist from DRL informed the villagers on Mushroom production in Tawang and its scope. Other experts from DRL Tezpur also spoke on different topics.
