ITANAGAR, Sep 8: Prof. Tomo Riba of Rajiv Gandhi University has been elected as President of Bharatiya Shikshan Mandal, Arunachal Prant during an online meeting of the Bharatiya Shikshan Mandal, Arunachal Prant conducted on Monday. The main objective of BSM is to preserve Indian Culture through education. The five-fold framework of BSM is Research, Awareness, Orientation, Publication and Team Building.
Prof. Tomo Riba, Department of Geography, and present acting Registrar, Rajiv Gandhi University has been teaching for more than 3 decades in different capacities, starting from school level education to college to university. For more than a year in 2002-03, he was appointed as Consultant in International Labour Organisation (ILO) and United Nations Drug Control Program (UNDCP) and United Nations Development Program (UNDP). In 2010 and 2012 he was invited by the International Research Centre, ‘Research Centre for Humanity and Nature and South Asian Study Centre’ at Kyoto University as a visiting Professor.
