ITANAGAR, May 12: The All Arunachal Private Schools’ Association (AAPSA) has reached out to about 100 BPL families here in the Ganga area by providing dry rations.
The programme was an outcome of the webinar AAPSA conducted a week earlier to take stock of the state’s changing educational scenario in context of the Covid-19 pandemic. The association’s response has been entirely based on the support coming through goodwill donations from member schools. Vice President of AAPSA, Fr. Joshua SDB prior to distributing the food kits, spoke about the importance of downloading the Arogya Setu App and treasurer Pradeep Kumar spoke on the importance of wearing masks while venturing out in public places and avoiding open spitting. Principal of Model English School D. Bano demonstrated the correct method of hand washing and hygiene and interacted with the ladies who came with their children for collecting the food relief.
During AAPSA’s webinar, member schools agreed to strengthen online classes being held by some of the schools and made the same mandatory for all member schools. AAPSA member schools have also proposed to share expertise in conducting online classes and resources in whatever possible manner.
The webinar also proposed to reduce the number of holidays to ensure maximum number of working days and ensure that quality education is provided to every student despite the current difficult situation arising out of the Covid-19 pandemic. AAPSA PR
