ITANAGAR, Aug 28: Taka Tamut, the ace Everester of Arunachal Pradesh and winner of the prestigious Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award 2019 instituted by the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports will be conferred with the award by the President of India, Ram Nath Govind on August 29 through a virtual ceremony conducted from the Rashtrapati Bhavan. Along with Tamut, Col. Sarfraz Singh, Director, NIMAS will also be receiving the award on the day which is also the National Sports Day from the conference room of NIC, Arunachal Pradesh at the Civil Secretariat. The programme will commence from 10.45 am in the morning with live telecast on Doordarshan & All India Radio and on https://webcast.gov.in/myas/sportsaward/.
