ITANAGAR, Oct 16: The People's Party of Arunachal (PPA) has labelled serious allegations of multi crore scam against Pema Khandu led BJP government and sought judicial enquiry of all the fraudulent activities of the present government.
The PPA in press statement alleged scandal relating to Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana (DDUGJY) wherein nearly ₹ 50 crore worth of tender was fraudulently awarded to a particular firm.
“ Two work orders vide No. NaED W-72/2020-21/631-34 doted 15.7.2020 for an amount of Rs. 20,26,38,145.00 and No. NaED W-72/2020-21/627-30 dated 15.7.2020 for an amount of Rs. 16,47,52,854.00 was awarded to one Mr. Namgyal Tashi Thungon, Proprietor of M/s Nirvana Enterprises, Bomdila, West Kameng District, Arunachal Pradesh,” release stated and further added, this work order was issued through unfair means by the help of one Assistant Engineer who was particularly appointed on officiating basis as Executive Engineer for assisting Pema Khandu in executing this fraudulently.
M/s Nirvana Enterprises had submitted fake Bank Guarantees and upon verification, the ICICI bank has , in writing, denied issuance of such Bank Guarantee, the PPA said. Alleging growing regional inequality under the current dispensation, the PPA said that state government is advancing regional inequality in terms of distribution of schemes and funds between all the districts in the State. Situations have come to such a passe that the common citizens have started questioning this as a major issue in the state.
The biggest cause of worry in the state of Arunachal Pradesh today is the growing rampant corruption. The growing number of Legal Notices sent to the Pema Khandu led Government on crucial issues like misappropriation of Panchayati Raj funds, CAMPA, Covid-19 Funds are really worrisome and needs immediate systemic correction.
Bolstering it’s claim PPA press statement claimed that ₹68 Cr SGRY scandal is pending in the Supreme Court in the form of Public Interest Litigation.
