HAYULIANG, Oct 27: In a major relief to the people of Manchal circle under Anjaw district, power supply to Quibang village was restored on Monday last by Hawai Electrical Sub Division after a long gap.
“Until restoration of power supply from Hayuliang side, power supply to Quibang will be fed from 2X250 KW Mati Nallah MHS. However, nearby villages will not be able to feed from Mati Nallah supply because of low generation. All effort is being made to restore power supply to Manchal Circle headquarters and its adjoining villages by the Hayuliang Electrical Sub Division," informed EE, Hawai Electrical Sub Division, Taduram Darang.
Earlier, the damaged 11KV Hayuliang-Goiliang line was also rectified and power supply to Goiliang Circle headquarters restored by the department.
"Almost 3 Km line was damaged between Duiliang and Goiliang Circle headquarters due to PMGSY road cutting and landslides that damaged the 11KV line near Goiliang. However, power supply was restored up to Block Village between Tehuliang and Yatong," added the EE.
As many as 50 villages of remote Manchal circle in Anjaw district were reeling under darkness for at least one year due to disruption of electric poles by the highway construction agencies of Trans Arunachal Highway and other incidents.
