ITANAGAR, Sep 23:  Hydro Power Development Corporation of Arunachal Pradesh Limited (HPDCAPL) has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Department of Power for Sumbachu SHP (2x1.5 MW), which was commissioned in January 2020.
The PPA was signed by Chairman cum Managing Director, HPDCAPL Toko Onuj, on behalf of the Corporation and Gyati Hinda, Chief Engineer (Commercial) cum Chief Electrical Inspector for the Department of Power, in presence of senior officials.
HPDCAPL, a Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh enterprise was set up in 2006 as a sole corporate entity of the state government in the field of Hydro Power generation. The signing of PPA is being seen as a major milestone for the Corporation towards self sustenance.
