Ziro, Dec 17: DC-cum-EO (PR), Lower Subansiri Swetika Sachan on Friday reviewed the infrastructural preparedness of the district’s polling stations for the ensuing PR elections in a review meeting with the Sector Magistrates here at her office.
Briefing on the roles and responsibilities of Sector Magistrates, the DEO called for concerted efforts from all for smooth conduct of PR elections in the district. “The onus for making the election successful through detailed assessment of basic facilities, road condition, network connectivity and other issues is on the Sector Magistrates,” she reminded, while requesting them to deliver duties sincerely. She further directed them to personally visit their assigned polling stations to assess infrastructure requirements. While emphasising on the importance of collaboration between police and administration for peaceful conduct of polls, the DEO also discussed the details of security arrangements with SP Harsh Indora.
A total of 11 Sector Magistrates have been appointed to cover 63 polling stations in the district. DC Millo Kojin and all ROs also attended the meeting. Dipro
