ITANAGAR, Aug 10: Home Minister, Bamang Felix visited the state police headquarters here on Monday and distributed five hundred kilograms of seedless Thai lemons donated by the Green Gold Company and promoted by Likha Maj.
Interacting with the authorities, Felix thanked the state police for their yeoman service in the fight against COVID- 19.
As part of "Atmanirbhar Bharat" and to promote the "Vocal for local" campaign, the state police has decided to use unused land belonging to the police for kitchen gardens and other farming activities, Felix revealed.
Besides, the Home Minister said that 7500 saplings have been planted by the police this year across the state and urged all ranks of APP to promote local produce being cultivated by the local people, which could help in boosting the state’s economy while also encouraging the farmers to become self-reliant.DGP RP Upadhyaya was also present on the occasion.
