ITANAGAR, Aug 31: The traffic cell of the Capital complex police has so far collected Rs 20,09,240 from the 2865 traffic violators from 13th May to 31st August 2021. This was informed by the Deputy SP of Traffic P Nobin Jomoh today.
In his Motor Vehicle Checking report submitted to the Superintendent of Police – TFC & RS, Jomoh stated that traffic violators have been challaned for various infringement like riding/driving without license, without helmet, wrong parking, vehicles without registration , defective number plate , without insurance and other traffic-related violations.
The DySP Traffic has penalised Rs 45,8340 & Rs 42,2500(Court Challan) against 581 violators. Whereas Itanagar Traffic cell has challaned at least 1107 violators and collected Rs 5,551,030 and Naharlagun Cell has collected Rs-5,77,370 against 1168 violators.
Meanwhile, DySP Traffic in his social media account has appealed to the denizens to follow the laid down traffic rules. Let’s join hands together and follow the rules. As we are living in a modern civilized society; accordingly, we are to display the qualities of a civilized individual. If we know about our Fundamental Rights, we must know that there are equal Fundamental Duties also, he added.
