ITANAGAR, Feb 8:  Following the FIR lodged by the Directorate of Medical Education regarding fake Appointment Letters for various posts, Police today arrested two alleged accused involved in the Job scam.
As per officials, the two individuals involved in the scam have been identified as Sangeeta Bansal who is working as UDC in the Directorate of Health Services, and one Jogen Saikia. Sangeeta was evading arrest but police later arrested her from Bihar and Jogen was arrested from Assam.
Both the accused have been produced before the Magistrate and are now under police custody for more interrogation.
Earlier, the Director of Medical Education had lodged an FIR at Naharlagun Police Station informing that fake appointment letters were issued to many candidates with forged signatures of the officials from the Department. The accused have also dragged the name of the Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board in the appointment letters.
Under Secretary APSSB,  Mudo Tamo had clarified that the Board hasn’t issued any recommendation letter to any candidate for appointment in the department. Moreover, the names of the candidates mentioned in the Appointment Letters are also not in any of the examinations conducted or to be conducted by the APSSB, he had stated.
