KHONSA, Jan 12: A review meeting to make an assessment of the progress of Phase-I and Phase-II of the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) projects being implemented in Tirap district was held today under chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Taro Mize here at his office chamber.
EE (RWD) Er. Nending Bath informed that as the projects under PMGSY Phase-I and II will be frozen by the government after March 31, 2021, it is necessary to complete them physically and financially before this date.
Addressing the contractors, the Deputy Commissioner-cum-Chairman stressed on completion of the projects as per tender specifications and within scheduled deadlines. While asking the officials of the RWD and contractors to bring into notice any local issue hampering the progress of works to the concerned Administrative Officers and to him for amicable solution, the DC asked the Technical Officers to supervise the projects and provide technical support during their implementation on a regular basis to avoid future complicacies. He also asked the contractors to increase manpower and machinery for completion of the projects including the police housing project within March 31 next and sought their affidavits in this regard.
All the ongoing projects were reviewed through a PowerPoint Presentation during the meeting. DIPRO
