LONGDING, Feb 18: The week-long loan camp for the street vendors of Longding district under PM Street Vendor's Atmanirbhar Nidhi (PM SVANidhi) and Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana National Urban Livelihood Mission (DAY-NULM) organised by DUDA Longding concluded today here in the headquarters.
Street vendors from across the district took part in the camp and out of 158 registered vendors, 103 applied successfully for loans. EE UD & Housing, Longding Division Er.Talen Taki, State Mission Manager, Arunachal State Urban Livelihood Mission (ArSULM) Ravi Sharma and staff of DUDA guided the beneficiaries during the camp days. PM SVANidhi aims to empower street vendors by extending special micro credit facility for affordable working capital loans up to Rs 10,000 for resumption of livelihoods that have been adversely affected due to COVID-19 pandemic.
On timely repayment of loans, an interest subsidy @ 7% per annum will also be credited to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries through DBT on a quarterly basis.
