ITANAGAR, Jul 13:Prime Minister Narendra Modi has sanctioned an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh each to the next of kin of the deceased and Rs 50000 to those injured in the recent landslides that took 14 lives at Laptap Village, Papumpare district on July 11 last.

The amount would be disbursed by the state government via district administration very soon.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Pema Khandu has appreciated the warm and helpful gesture shown by the PM and said that such assistance from the Centre is timely and encouraging
