ITANAGAR, Mar 22: Former Director of Public Libraries, Itanagar, Tony Ratan a pioneer of Library Services in the state passed away on March 20 following a brief illness. Born at Silluk Village under East Siang District, Ratan joined the Public Library Department as Librarian in 1976 and retired on superannuation as Director of Public Libraries in 2007.
He was a great administrator and first Librarian from the State, who contributed immensely towards spreading library services across the State of A.P during his tenure and will be remembered by generations to come, the Directorate, State Central Library & Branch Library, Naharlagun remembered during a condolence meet held in his memory.
