GUWAHATI, Sep 4: Press Information Bureau (PIB) Guwahati conducted a webinar on ‘Stress Management during Corona Pandemic’ here on Friday which was attended by over 30 participants from the medical profession including experts, journalists and officials of PIB and ROB, North East Zone.
Experts opined that regular exercises and yoga, proper awareness of safety measures, positive thoughts and remaining connected with family and friends while maintaining social distancing norms are the keys to managing stress and anxiety during the prevailing Covid time. Additional Director General, North East Zone, Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting S N Pradhan said that due to lockdowns and restrictions on movement, there is a drastic change in people’s lifestyle and the negative impact on health can be lessened through yoga. He added that media would do a great service to society by taking this idea to the people in an impactful manner. Experts such as Dr Rupam Choudhury, Consultant Diabetologist and Dr. Chandra Kumar Das, Consultant Cardiologist deliberated extensively on the topic.
