Tawang, Jul 16: The Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), Tawang on Thursday conducted the first meeting of the District Water and Sanitation Committee (DWSC) under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) here at the DC’s Conference Hall.
The meeting was chaired by Tawang DC Sang Phuntsok. Executive Engineer, PHED Tawang G. Mize while informing the objective of the meeting which is to finalize the water supply schemes in the district under JJM for 2020-21, through a PowerPoint Presentation shared the data that out of a total 12105 households in the district, 3195 have already been given drinking water supply connections and the remaining 8910 will be covered soon.
During the meeting, 77 schemes worth Rs 1,832.10 lakhs were proposed which include augmentation, extension of water supply points, improvement of supply and construction of Slow Sand Filtration (SSF) tanks. DIPRO
