Yupia, Feb 14: The Papum Pare district administration has banned illegal fishing, hunting, forest destruction and extraction of natural resources etc in the district. The District Magistrate Papum Pare, Minga Sherpa, issued a prohibitory order on 8th February which comes in the wake of complaints received from various corners apprising of the same.
The order stated that such activities are a serious concern and is causing ecological imbalances in the rich flora and fauna of the region adding that preservation of nature is the moral responsibility of each and every citizen of the district and violators will be prosecuted under appropriate section of law.
