ITANAGAR, Sep 16:  Irked by the non-responsive attitude of the state government to their demands, All Pakke Kessang District Students Union (APKDSU) served a 7- day ultimatum failing which it has threatened to launch democratic movement in the district.
Speaking to the reporters at the press club, General Secretary Thaddeus Techi said that after the creation of  Pakke Kessang district in December 2018, the district is facing acute shortages of group-C staff ( Ministerial Staff).
Acknowledging the issue, the union submitted a representation to the state government in the month of June but  till date no response has come.
“There were many examinations conducted by the Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board, but we have seen no single vacancy for Pakke Kessang district. Due to shortage of staff many official works are pending in the district, creating problems for the local denizens," Techi said. He also alleged that due to nepotism there are many cases of backdoor entry reported in the district.
Many staff are being appointed without advertisement directly from the higher authority.Such jobs should be cancelled and let there be proper recruitment in the district, added the General Secretary.
Further, he also claimed that the file for recruitment of staff for the district has been held in the Finance department. "We want to ask the authority regarding the reason for the file being held in the Finance department. They should come clear if the state government has financial crises at this moment," slammed Techi.
