KHONSA, Nov 14: Padma Shri YD Thongchi inaugurated the opening ceremony-cum-literary meet of Arunachal Pradesh Literary Society (APLS), Tirap Unit.
Padma Shri Yeshe Dorjee Thongchi, who is also the president APLS in his speech shared his experiences and challenging journey in the field of literature.  He encouraged writers and poets of Tirap District to come forward with their expressions and doodles, adding that Tirap belt in particular has a glorious past and an impactful story to tell. Thongchi also motivated all the learned groups and interested public of the district to join and make the literary-cum-library movement successful in Tirap. 
He also shared the vision of APLS with the induction of e-magazines, frequent literary meets and more visits by APLS Itanagar team in future. 
Mukul Pathak, General Secretary APLS delivered a brief note on the vision & mission of the society. He also explained the importance and necessity of Literary Society and the disposal of its proper functions at the grassroot level in Arunachal Pradesh. 
Deputy Commissioner Taro Mize enthused that another chapter will be added to Tirap’s glorious history with the constitution of APLS Tirap Unit Committee for the first time.
