Pasighat, Oct 31: One Day Outreach programme on 'Gender Health, Education and Hygiene' organised by the Prevention of Sexual Harassment Cell,Jawaharlal Nehru College, Pasighat in collaboration with Internal Quality Assurance Cell, JN College, Pasighat was held at Govt. Upper Primary School, Jarku, Pasighat.
Resource Persons deliberated on various topics such as: ‘Social Responsibility of a Girl Child within the Household and the Society" by Dr Pema Deki Mize, Assistant Professor, Dept. of History. "Mental Hygiene and its significance" by Dr Tokpet Pertin, Assistant Professor, Dept of Hindi. "Girl's Education in the Light of 21" Century: Progress, Challenges and the path to Universal School education" by Dr Sony
Dupak, Assistant Professor, Dept of Education. "Respecting your Bodies: A Talk on Gender Hygiene" by Ms. Hage Yalu, Assistant Professor, Dept of Chemistry and "Sexual Harassment: Meaning, Scope, Prevention and Redress" by Mrs Oman Taloh, Assistant Professor, Dept of Economics.
While attending the sensitisation programme, T.Taloh, Headmaster, GUPS Jarku said that "this kind of sensitisation programs should be conducted regularly and appealed to all the students and staff to further create awareness among their families.”
