MECHUKHA, Oct 2: The outreach programme started by Rajya Sainik Board for veteran Ex Servicemen (ESM) which is being spearheaded by Lt. Col. TC Tayum reached Mechukha and held a meeting with Ex servicemen today in the presence of Circle Officer and BDO, Mechukha.
In the meeting Lt. Col. Tayum apprised the various benefit schemes that are being provided by the government to the ESM. He interacted with ESM and took note of the grievances faced by them and promised to take up the matter to higher authorities to rectify the problems and shortcomings. He also advocated for early set up of ESM cell in every district so that the schemes provided by government can be availed. According to him the reason these benefits are not being availed is due to lack of knowledge about these schemes and this problem can be solved by establishment of ESM cell in every district as soon as possible.
