NAHARLAGUN, Jan 9: One Stop Centre, Naharlagun today conducted an awareness programme for the students of the Department of Social Work, Don Bosco College Jollang here on ‘Sakhi’, a scheme of the Union Ministry of Women and Child Development to support women affected by violence in both private and public places.
Centre Administrator, Advocate Nada Nampi while briefing about the OSC and its services for those affected by violence informed the awareness initiative is the first of its kind in the state. Programme Officer, Singcha Gene Welfare Society Ceemona Taku deliberated on good and bad touches and showed a documentary on child abuse. Former Chairperson, Child Welfare Committee, ICR Advocate Kani Nada Mailing detailed the ways for approaching the OSC for cases affecting children.
