ITANAGAR, Feb 10: The Indigenous Movement against Corruption and Reformation (IMACR), has demanded Itanagar Capital Region (ICR) district administration to forward the PDS rice re-packaging and black marketing case to Special investigation cell (SIC) for further investigation.
Addressing media persons at the press club here today, IMACR chairmen Raj Pao claimed that several quintals of PDS rice from capital region is being sent to Assam for re- packaging. Even the re-packaging activities is being executed in few shops of the capital region.Thereby, after re-packaging it is sent back to retail shops of capital region and is being sold in the open market.
“The store and shops where such activity was done was earlier sealed during a raid. However, the store is now functioning without any legal action taken against them by the concerned department and district administration,” he said, adding that the IMACR should have been informed about it.
On December 2, 2021 the team of IMACR along with officials of Food and Civil Supply department raided all the PDS stores, wholesale shops and agencies of twin capital and also sealed few stores for indulging in black marketing. 
“We demanded the district administration to forward the matter to SIC and check the detail records of one year’s GST income tax return of these stores. Surprisingly,   the district administration is not ready to act on the request,” he said.
He also said the IMACR has decided to hold a dharna against the district administration on February 15, outside the DC office.
