ITANAGAR, Jul 26: The Anti Corruption Foundation- Kra Daadi District unit (ACF-KD) on Monday claimed that six persons were illegally appointed to the post of LDC (Skilled) and UDC by the former head officials of the district.
The organization has also demanded the state government to direct the Officer In-charge (SIC) to investigate the case. For which, the organization has also submitted a complaint letter to the Chief Secretary of the state today.
Addressing media persons at the press club here, ACF-KD unit president Tai Tahar quoting RTI documents said
“The entire process of recruitment was done without any job advertisement. The appointment was done behind closed doors and to my surprise most of the illegally appointed job holders are relatives of the Kra Daadi district administrative officials," he said.
“All the appointed UDC on officiating and regularization is illegal and against the given condition of appointment order. It has also been found that the appointment was not on seniority ground, which is against the Recruitment Rules (RR),” he added.
Meanwhile, ACF-KD General Secretary Ha Tago said that the unemployed youths are repeatedly being deprived of government jobs in a district that was recently created in the year 2015.
He said, since the creation of the district, not a single government job advertisement has been published in any of the newspapers by any of the administrative departments.
“We could have remained in the dark on this matter of illegal appointments had it not been for a couple of people complaining about the matter. The organization has received complaints from few individuals this year,” he said, adding that all the erring officers and officials should be punished according to the law.
Deputy Commissioner Kra Daadi and ADC Palin could not be contacted for their comments on the claims made by the ACF-KD.
