Rono Hills, Nov 20: The 3-day online training programme on ‘Child-centric Disaster Risk Reduction’ organized jointly by the Department of Education, Rajiv Gandhi University in collaboration with the National Institute of Disaster Management, New Delhi concluded today.
Chief Guest and RGU Pro VC Professor Amitava Mitra highlighted the damages caused by disasters and their impact on mental health of children. Guest of Honour and Registrar Dr. N. T. Rikam spoke on the need to remain prepared to face disasters. Head, CCDRR, NIDM, Professor Santosh Kumar highlighted the role of common people in mitigating post-disaster challenges. RGU PR
