Rono Hills, Nov 18: A 3-day online training programme on 'Child-centric Disaster Risk Reduction' commenced today here at the Rajiv Gandhi University organised by its Department of Education in collaboration with the National Institute of Disaster Management, New Delhi.
RGU Vice Chancellor Professor Saket Kushwaha while speaking on the topic as Chief Guest emphasised on the need for taking extreme child care during the pandemic and appreciated the efforts of the Department of Education for conducting 16 webinars recently on capacity building, faculty development, orientation, symposia etc. Executive Director, National Institute of Disaster Management Major General Manoj Kumar Bindal underscored the need to sensitize all stakeholders on child-centric disaster risk reduction.
