Itanagar, Nov 23: Capital dwellers will soon get respite with the launch of the UPLABDH App which will provide a platform to citizens to register their grievances and also access various utility services. A meeting was convened today in the chamber of the Deputy Commissioner, Itanagar Capital Region, Komkar Dulom wherein the officers of the State Remote Sensing Application Centre briefed about UPLABDH App. The software has been designed and ready for use and if once launched, citizens would be able to access various utility services registered with the App such electricity, water, sanitation etc, and pay bills through the App.
It shall be linked with various portals of Power,  PHED, IMC department. Citizens can upload pictures of garbage to be lifted, electrical faults to be repaired and other public utility services which can be monitored by them. Timothy Nina Dulom, IT Expert of SRSAC presented a brief of the services available on the App and more probable services that would be eventually added and sought feedback to make it more user friendly.
It shall improve the interface between the public and government departments and service providers with a click of a button. The citizen App can be downloaded by every citizen from Google store and used for registering their complaints for various services, he said.
The District Administration and other line departments can monitor grievances through the dashboard and also check the status of the issue. Private vendors like plumbers, electricians, TV, fridge, AC repairers can be booked online on their portal.
Also, location of important places like post office, banks, hospitals, offices etc within ICR has been mapped with the portal for citizens easy access.
The DC asked the team to ensure proper distribution of work amongst the departments registered to ensure faster execution of work. He hoped that once launched, it will make it easier for people to access services as it will link various departments  to the App.
He also asked the officers of SRSAC to work on some minor modification prior to its launch.
He also directed the e- governance officer Neelam Serra to oversee the project for its successful implementation.
Among others, ADC Talom Dupak,  SDO Sangeeta Yirang, Commissioner IMC  Cheechung Chukhu, EE (IMC) Er Tadar Tarang, EE (Power) Naharlagun Er Taying Janu, AE( Power) Itanagar Er T Gongo and others attended the meeting.
