AALO, Jan 20: The Director Audit and Pension, Karluk Ronya held an interactive meeting with all DDOs of West Siang on pension guidelines and issues today.
Addressing the gathering, he said that most of the pension cases couldn't be settled on time and in few cases there is inordinate delay due to wrong fixation of pays during pay revision, wrong
calculation after ACP, MACP, promotion etc. "DDOs have a crucial role to play in preparing an error-free pay fixation," he said insisting on sending of IPS from time to time for verification and vetting by the department of Pension and Audit so that government employees do not suffer at the fag end of their service life to settle their pensions.
West Siang Deputy Commissioner, Penga Tato while appreciating the effort of the Director asked all DDOs to make best use of the awareness camp for the larger interest of the retiring officials who run from pillar to post to get the pension settlements after retirement.
"We all are bound to face the problem sooner or later and it important to know it in advance for our own interests too," the DC said.
