ITANAGAR, May 10: The Confederation of Service Associations of Arunachal Pradesh (CoSAAP) has mourned the untimely demise of Superintending Engineer, PWD (Highway) Er. LD Thongdok who succumbed to Covid-19 in New Delhi on Saturday.
Late Thongdok was on ventilator since Friday after testing Covid positive and developing breathing problems. While conveying its condolences to the bereaved family members and praying for eternal peace of the departed soul, CoSAAP has appealed to the state government particularly the department of PWD (Highway) where Thongdok worked to render immediate relief including a compassionate appointment in government job to one of the family members. The apex employees organization of the state has also extended its gratitude to the team of officers led by DRC and President Delhi Unit, CoSAAP Marto Bagra, OSD to CM Anupam Yadav, Additional PS to MoS Sports & Youth Affairs Komjum Riba and others who immediately rushed to Sardar Vallabhbhai Covid Hospital in the national capital to extend help during the critical moments.
Born in 1964 in Rupa in West Kameng district, Thongdok completed his civil engineering from University of Delhi and joined Arunachal Engineering Services in 1987. Known for his sincerity and discipline as an officer, he is survived by his wife, a daughter and two sons.
