TAWANG, May 20: In an exemplary display of humanitarian gesture and social responsibility, District Surveillance Officer (DSO) for Covid-19, Tawang Dr Sangey Thinley has donated his one-month salary amounting to Rs 1,07,327 to KDS District Hospital.
Dr Thinley handed over the cheque of the said amount to Tawang Deputy Commissioner Sang Phuntsok, DMO Dr Wangdi Lama and Medical Superintendent Dr N Namchoom today. “As the district is witnessing a severe spike in Covid cases, I have voluntary donated my one month salary as my social responsibility towards the district to purchase RAT kits so that rigorous  testing of people with flu-like symptoms and primary contacts of Covid positive patients can be continued without any hiccup,” he said.
The DSO has also appealed to the denizens of Tawang to come forward and donate voluntarily for procuring kits and healthcare apparatus to strengthen the district’s battle against the pandemic.
