YUPIA, Nov 17: The District Development Committee (DCC) meeting of Papum Pare district to formulate the Five Year Plan of all departments under the district was held here at DC Conference Hall under the chairmanship of former Chief Minister cum MLA 15- Sagalee AC Nabam Tuki on November 15 last.
Speaking on the occasion, Tuki called upon officers to come up with innovative ideas and concepts to formulate a futuristic and target-oriented Five Year Perspective Development Plan focusing on social and economic sectors for Papum Pare. Citing examples of various incomplete projects in the district, he also stressed on prioritising critical schemes awaiting completion due to financial and infrastructural shortages. Further, he appealed all HoDs to give priority to schemes and projects which deals with essential public services like roads, bridges, power, education, health and other income oriented schemes like industries, tourism agriculture and horticulture. 14-Doimukh MLA Tana Hali Tara   requested the HoDs to maintain proper coordination among each other and prepare need-based development plans which must be innovative and feasible. He further appealed the officers to stay in their respective places of posting and sensitize people on various developmental schemes. MLA 13-Itanagar Techi Kaso also spoke on the occasion. Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Pige Ligu assured that all developmental plans will be properly reviewed by the concerned HoDs. 
Various departments presented their works, achievements, proposals and issues through Power Point Presentations during the meeting. DIPRO
