ITANAGAR, Feb 25: The State Youth Parliament 2022 was held virtually today in the state capital by the Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Arunachal Pradesh.
State Director, NYKS Arunachal Pradesh, Inkhuanguang, jury members— Dr. Md Asghar, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Anthropology RGU,  Yomjum  Yomgam, Chairman, Young Mission Adventure Club, Jummo Potom, Social Development Expert, Department of Urban Development, John Gaingamlung Gangmei, Assistant Professor, Rajiv Gandhi University, Doimukh, and Chongneithem Lhouvum, Production Head, CDCN were present.
Addressing the virtual gathering, Inkhuanguang, said that there are numerous challenges confronting the country, and the youth being the future of the country cannot shy away from their responsibilities in nation-building. Stating that such competitions give the youth a platform to participate and contribute towards nation-building; he hoped that the deliberations of the day will also enrich the policymakers.
The Ministry of Youth Affairs, Government of India is conducting National Youth Parliament 2022, (18 to 25 years) from February 14 to March 9 next. The district youth parliament in the state was held through virtual mode on February 18 and 14 best participants were shortlisted to compete at the State Youth Parliament on the six given topics.
The three best speakers shortlisted today from the State Youth Parliament in order of merit are ­­­Ms. Sangi Tayang from Lohit district, Ms. Oyin Komboh from Upper Siang district and Ms. Rubu Sunya from Lower Subansiri district respectively. They will represent Arunachal Pradesh at the National Youth Parliament Festival 2022 to be held in New Delhi.
