 ITANAGAR, Jul 26:  Hundreds of medical professionals (Nurse) from different hospitals and institutes staged a dharna under the banner of Trained Nurse Association of India-Arunachal Unit and Student Nurse Association of Arunachal demanding immediate legal action and termination of untrained nurses who were allegedly absorbed in government service through fraudulent means in the National Health Mission and government hospitals.

     Speaking to media, President Yassung informed that at least 50 untrained nurses have managed to get jobs in NHM and other government hospitals through fake certificates. ‘Such practice is not only demoralising for the profession but also for the common people who depends on trained Nurses,’ she added.

Expressing resentment over the development, Yassung urged the concern authority to immediately cancel the registration certificates of those candidates and initiate legal action and termination of all fraud nurses from the post of GNM, ANM, Sister Tutor under National Health Mission and in Government hospitals.
