ITANAGAR, Jun 3: The National Students Union of India State unit has sought the resignation of education minister, Taba Tedir on moral grounds for the falling CBSE pass percentage of class 10 and 12 in Arunachal Pradesh since he assumed charge.
We have being observing class 10 and 12 pass percentage since 2021 in which pass % of class 10 was 77.90% (2021) which decreased by 27.97% in 2022(49.93% passed) which again decreased by 10% in 2023. This is a very serious concern for entire Arunachal and the education crisis in the State will not bring prosperity to the State, the NSUI said in a statement.
In the same way the class 12 pass% of the state has been decreasing year by year, from 79.59% in 2022 to 61.18% in 2023, which is a decrease of 17.41%, it further added.
The NSUI State Unit also questioned the  Arunachal Pradesh government about the outcome of the 'Year of Education' which it had dedicated 2021 with a planned investment of Rupees 1000 crore.
