PASIGHAT, Apr 3: NSS unit of JN College, Pasighat successfully conducted its annual special camping programme at Sika Tode village of East Siang District from March 27 to April 2.
While attending the programme, Dr. Tasi Taloh, Principal JN College Pasighat, spoke on the importance of community service rendered by NSS and also advised volunteers to work with utmost dedication and sincerity while remembering the motto of NSS ‘Not Me, But You’.
Dr. S.D. Choudhury, VP, JNC Pasighat also spoke on the occasion and appreciated villager for keeping their village premises clean.
While welcoming villagers and volunteers Dr. K. Kadu, NSS PO, spoke about the aims and objectives of conducting special camp at Sika Tode village.
As a part of its special camping programme, volunteers carried out various activities including constructing an internal link road of the village and tree planting. Volunteers also performed a social awareness skit on ‘Alcohol, Drugs and Substance abuse’ to create awareness about the ill effects of these substances among the youth.
