LONGDING, Jan 8: Laigang Chingkedam, 28, a NSCN (K) cadre hailing from Khasa village under Pongchao circle voluntarily surrendered before Circle Officer Taya Yullu in presence of  Deputy SP Banghang Tangjang on January 7. 
The surrendered cadre informed that he was forcefully recruited in 2008 and was discharged from the organization in 2015 but due to lack of proper documents he was apprehensive about the formal surrender. He finally decided to surrender before Police and the administration after effective counseling from local police and relatives. He brought with him a discharge certificate from the organization.  Miss Yullu while welcoming him to the mainstream, told him to start a new beginning and live a normal life. She also urged him to set an example to the people of his village and to tell his friends and others not to join insurgency. 

A formal surrender ceremony was conducted at DC office Longding and a Surrender Certificate was handed to the surrendered cadre.
