KOLAM, Jun 2: Relinquishing the path of violence and pledging to return to normal civilian life, a NSCN (K) cadre today surrendered before District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner of Tirap Taro Mize.
Hailing from Lazu in Tirap district, the cadre Kimong Hassen joined the outfit in May 1999 and held the rank of S.S. Private in the Naga Army. Officials from Tirap Police, 6th Assam Rifles, c/o 99 APO and 36 Bn CRPF, Khonsa were also present during the surrender ceremony. Acceptance of the militant’s surrender carries the condition that he will have to lead a normal life with family members in his village. 
Its violation  i.e. a further involvement in any illegal or anti-national activities will attract the appropriate provisions of law. DIPRO
