Itanagar, Mar 8: The 5-day North East National Service Scheme (NSS) Festival was launched by Minister of Sports & Youth Affairs, Mama Natung today. 
300 NSS volunteers and 25 Programme officers from seven NE states are participating in the festival, informed Dr AK Mishra; State Nodal, NSS Arunachal Unit. 
“Youths are the backbone and future of society. You all should have positive mindset and shoulder responsibility in nation building”, said  Natung. 
“This festival will offer literary, games & Sports, socio-cultural exchange, leadership training for all round personality development. The youths will also learn discipline, team work and sense of brotherhood for peace and communal harmony,” said the Minister and conveyed best wishes to the participants. 
MLA cum Advisor to Minister Education, Kento Rina, Dr Joram Begi; State Chief Information Commissioner and Niharika Rai, IAS , Commissioner Education also spoke on the occasion. MQ Khan, Principal DNGC also attended the function
