NAMSAI, Apr 26: The body of Mankai Wangpan, a 21-year old college student from Longding who was feared to have been drowned in Noa Dihing river in Namsai on Saturday last was finally recovered by a team of 12th Bn NDRF rescuers on Monday morning.
The rescue team moved from its halt location at Mahadevpur Cultural Hall, Namsai to the incident site at 0530 hrs and resumed search operation with the help of boats and professional deep divers. The body was recovered within 15 minutes and after completion of official formalities handed over to the local police.
