ITANAGAR, Sep 25: Advisor, Power & Hydro Power Development cum MLA Balo Raja advised the newly inducted Junior Engineers of the power department not to get influenced by money and political pressures. He was addressing the ongoing practical training session of the newly inducted 32 Junior Engineers of the department here at 132/33Kv Sub-station, Chimpu today.
Addressing the young engineers, Raja also advised them to properly attend the training session being organized by the department. The training session will be beneficial for both JEs and departments to get practical experience about their respective works. “You all are the future of the department, who will run the department and impart service to the state and nation,” he said.
Urging the JEs’ to be ready to serve the department and state in remote areas, he said that requests or recommendations to cancel or re-arrange posting orders won’t be entertained.
“I won’t encourage it; few MLAs have also come with the request to post JE’s in their desired areas. Transfer and Posting are totally on the department, and as per the requirement, postings will be done by the authority but not on the recommendation of MLAs & Ministers or relatives,” Raja said.
On the sidelines of the training, he also visited the 132/33 Kv Switch Yard, and inspected the ongoing office building of State Load Dispatch Center (SLDC) with Engineers. The Advisor also assured to extend all possible support for the development of the SLDC project and to apprise the higher-ups about the requirements at the sub-station.
Earlier, General Manager-Taurus Shridhar UG who came all the way from Bengaluru as a resource person conferred hands-on training to the newly inducted JEs on modern equipment for transmission and other technologies.
Among others, TK Tara, SE(E) Electrical Transmission Circle,  Nangkong Perme–SE(E) Nodal Officer Training, Purick Buchi-AE(E),Hibu Bama–EE(E) Transmission-II, Moli Kamki AE-32-KV Substation were also present on the occasion to encourage and advise the newly recruited Junior Engineers.
