PASIGHAT, Jan 23: The 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose was celebrated at 2-Mile area here in Pasighat on Sunday.
Gracing the occasion as Chief Guest, Pasighat East MLA Kaling Moyong asserted that Netaji’s patriotism and sacrifice would always inspire the people of the country and the entire nation would remember his sacrifice and dedication for the independence of the country. Moyong also threw light on the formation of the Azad Hind Fauj and the bravery of Bose in his address. Moyong who is also local MLA of the area commended the East Siang Bengali Welfare Association (ESBWA) for organizing the programme in a befitting manner. 
PMC Chief Councillor Okiam Moyong and AASU General Secretary Tobom Dai also attended the daylong programme as Guest of Honour and Special Guest and spoke on the occasion and exhorted all to imbibe the qualities of patriotism and selflessness exhibited by Bose. Among others, ESBWA President Jagdish Barman and General Secretary Nelu Dey also spoke on the occasion. 
Earlier, floral tributes were paid to the portrait of Bose by the dignitaries present at the programme.
