ITANAGAR/ GUWAHATI , Feb 18:  North East Students' Organization (NESO) has strongly condemned   BJP national president Amit Shah’s statement during a rally in Assam that the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill would be brought back again, if BJP returns to power.
In its press statement, NESO asserted that the statement is an insult to the people's movement of the whole of North East against CAB which resulted in the inability of the BJP-led central government to table it in the recently concluded session of the Rajya Sabha.
Appealing people to stand united against the draconian Bill, NESO further added  that the  statement of the BJP chief is also a clear reflection of the mindset which indicates that they don't have any regard for the sentiments of the indigenous peoples of the North East.
It is rather a design to reduce the indigenous communities to a minority by flooding the region with illegal Bangladeshis to achieve their Hindutva objective, the press release said.
