ITANAGAR, Sep 9: Expressing dissatisfaction over the action taken by the administration in the Trans Arunachal Highway imbroglio by publishing public notice against the excess compensation in Lower Subansiri district, Nyishi Elite Society today threatened to knock the Court's door.
"As per the District Administration,Lower Subansiri, 346 people were found to have been paid access money then why has the administration only shown the access bill and not those who procured fake land compensation,” said NES President Bengia Tolum while addressing a press conference.
"We cannot make Arunachal Pradesh a ‘corrupt state’ we will fight a legal battle if the authority fails to bring out the truth and put the culprits who took crores as fake compensation amount," he asserted.
There are many more people whose name did not appear in the release. Even if those 346 people were provided access bill, why the DA and state government is ineffectual to take legal action against those officers and officials? he questioned.
Further, NES also expressed its resentment over the delay in construction of Green Field Airport at Hollongi. Tolum requested the state government and concerned authority to start construction of the airport at the earliest so that the people of the state benefit from the air connectivity.
Meanwhile, Tolum informed that the twelfth general conference cum election/selection of the NES will be held from October 27-30 next at Wessang, Seppa.
The main topic of discussion in the conclave will be on tackling drug menace, money culture during elections and how to continue and bring ideas to make the school adoption programme a successful event in the Nyishi inhabitant districts.
This time the three day conference will be eco –friendly and a no-plastic affair.
