Pasighat, Sep 30: The North Eastern Institute of Folk Medicine (NEIFM) organized a national webinar on the topic ‘AYUSH for Immunity’ here on Wednesday which saw a participation of more than 150 from all over India.
Organizing Secretary, Dr. Imlikumba detailed the objectives of the three-month “AYUSH for Immunity” campaign launched by the Union Ministry of AYUSH which aims to increase awareness about affordable and easy practices for enhancing immunity. Zoologist, NEIFM Dr. Kenjum Bagra underscored the need for increasing immunity against diseases particularly during the current Covid circumstances. Secretary, Centre for Traditional Medicine & Research, Chennai Dr. T. Thirunarayanan, Head Department of Moalajat, National Institute of Unani Medicine, Bangalore Dr. Mohd. Aleemuddin Quamri and Assistant Professor, Department of Panchakarma, Parul Institute of Ayurveda, Vadodara Dr. Mahesh M. Parappagoudra as Resource Persons spoke on various topics related to the theme of the webinar and highlighted the relevance of healthy lifestyle, food habits, applicability of Ayurveda and Unani in boosting immunity etc.
