Pasighat, Dec 29: The North Eastern Institute of Folk Medicine (NEIFM), Pasighat organized an awareness camp-cum-cleanliness drive under Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan here in the township today in coordination with Team Siang Clean-up Project.
As part of the initiative, the entire stretch of the banks of Siang in Komligath was cleaned with installation of dustbins here and in other public places of the township. Zoologist, NEIFM Dr. Kenjum Bagra while appreciating Team Siang Clean-up Project for taking up the social responsibility of cleaning the Siang banks on a weekly basis informed that NEIFM will undertake more such programmes in Pasighat and its peripheral villages. Botanist, NEIFM Dr. Amal Bawri appealed to the students to organize cleanliness awareness drives in villages.
The Siang Clean-up Project is a group of likeminded students studying in different parts of the country pursuing the goal of keeping the Siang banks clean.
