Guwahati, Nov 2: The North Eastern Development Finance Corporation Ltd (NEDFi) has bagged two prestigious awards from the Association of Development Financing Institutions in Asia and the Pacific (ADFIAP) for contributions in financial inclusion through its project ‘NEDFi Micro Finance Scheme’ and towards local economic development through its water hyacinth project ‘Weed to Wealth’. 
The award function was held at Manila, Philippines during the Annual General Meeting of ADFIAP on October 29 last through videoconferencing attended by the members of development financial institutions from the Asia-Pacific region. Established in 1976 under the auspices of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the ADFIAP is a common platform of all development banks and other financial institutions engaged in development financing in the Asia-Pacific region with a membership of 103 from 39 countries.
