SHILLONG, Oct 28: As a part of its annual observation of the Vigilance Awareness Week to promote integrity and achieve a corruption-free society, the North Eastern Council (NEC) is observing the week from October 27-November 2 with this year’s theme being ‘Satark Bharat, Samriddh Bharat’ (Vigilant India, Prosperous India). A four-day vigilance sensitization programme commenced with an integrity pledge on October 27, administered by Member, NEC Professor B.K. Dutta. A seminar/workshop for sensitization of officers and staff about the role of vigilance in development was conducted on Wednesday and a written quiz and poster-making competition on the theme will be held on October 29.
The awareness week will be concluded with a talk competition on the theme and felicitation of the winners on November 2. DIPRO
